Hi, I’m Chris
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2010, the year I graduated from the Northern Film School in Leeds. I never grew up dreaming of weddings, but the first one I photographed made sense of everything I’d studied: real people, real emotion, and a story that only happens once.
Today I photograph and film weddings across London, Cheshire and my home county of Yorkshire, and travel much further whenever a couple asks. I work quietly and keep things relaxed, so you can enjoy your day while I look after the story of it.
Along the way I’ve twice been ranked the UK’s number one wedding photographer by MyWed, named one of Rangefinder magazine’s 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography and listed in SLR Lounge’s Top 100 UK wedding photographers. Lovely as that is, the compliment I value most is a couple telling me they forgot I was there.

Wedding films
I studied film before I ever photographed a wedding. After more than a decade behind a stills camera I started filming weddings too, and it changed the way I see a wedding day.
Now I can tell each moment in whichever medium suits it best: the speeches and the vows in sound and movement, the quiet glances in a photograph.
